not necessarily the sneaking off to a motel to spend the night with her ( though that was pretty fucking awesome, pun intended ) but just--being with her. he misses her when they're away from each other and all they can do is call, text, and skype. ( yancy gives him shit for looking completely moonstruck whenever he gets a text message from her, but he doesn't know anything, okay. he really doesn't. or else he'd be finding himself an actual girlfriend instead of just being the class act he is. ) having her around to touch, to hold... it's really, really nice. maybe he'll get to have a little more of that now that he's going to be transferred to anchorage and she's already going to school there.

[ at the mention of breakfast she hums and falls back against the sheets, one arm coming up to catch a hand at his neck so she can pull him back down against her.
she doesn't feel like she's just eighteen. she feels utterly amazing and happy and she's going to tell it straight to her older sister's face that they were good and responsible and they definitely didn't need the lube and kara will swear at her and call her a little minx but does naomi care? nope. she wasn't on the pill for months for nothing. ]
Pancakes, [ she catches his lower lip, already sad that he's due to go in a few hours. she'd never figured herself the type to fall into something that is technically long-distance, but stranger things have happened. ] I think there's an IHOP close by. Or we could just grab something from Mickey D's and come back?
this is probably the most stereotypical thing ever BUT W/E THEY'RE YUMMY so i'm rolling w/ it
[ man, she really doesn't give him good choices, does she? ihop isn't terrible and he could probably go for a belgian waffle if they ended up there. but that means he can't come back to the motel with her and maybe end up having a little more fun before they need to part ways. on the other hand, mcdonald's breakfasts aren't his favorite thing in the world. so he's kind of stuck choosing between one unappealing option and another. unless he happens to give her a third.

naomi's definitely smiling as she answers the way his lips press against hers, and her fingers twine around the dog tags hanging from his neck. ] You're full of surprises, you know that?
[ to be fair, raleigh can cook a total of three things: crêpes, scrambled eggs, and pb&j. if he's having a good day, he can maybe do a box of kraft macaroni and cheese, but most of the time he forgets that he's got something on the stove until it's a disaster. the only reason he can even cook crêpes is because he'd made his mom show him how about sixty billion times until he could almost do it in his sleep.
but any thoughts of breakfast and whether the local grocery store will actually have nutella go flying out into space when her fingers wrap around his dog tags because--oh. that's really kind of hot. he'd never really thought about something like that being hot but it kind of is.

Kara gave me extra cash. You want anything else other than crepes, babe? [ she ducks into the bathroom and tries to make it casual but she's pretty such the way she'd openly stared at him for a minute there ruined any attempt at looking mature and sophisticated. ]
[ naomi's stomach growls, and raleigh lets out a frustrated groan. what a mood killer. the way she looks at him is really pretty awesome, though. and there's no real hiding the way he's totally checking her out as she ducks into the bathroom. ]

he sits up a little, leaning back against the pillows and the headboard. he should probably get up and get dressed eventually. but he's kind of hoping that if he just stays naked he'll have a better chance of getting laid again after breakfast. ] What time are you and Kara leaving?
