it's not that he minds it, really. any crush he had on her is long gone. and it's good, raleigh thinks, for yancy to have something nice in his life. things have been horribly fucked up since knifehead and even if the two of them are okay, they aren't great and--

[Yancy wasn't really sure what to expect from Raleigh about this, though he was braced for there to be anger and yelling like when he discovered Yancy's memories of his night with Naomi in the Drift. Prepare for the worst possible outcome, right.
If Raleigh was mad, he'd break up with her again. No second thought. Because Raleigh was still the most important thing in his life, all other human relationships didn't really seem to matter in the wake of what they had and he doesn't like to think of how unbelievably co-dependent they are.]

Yeah...? [ raleigh pops his good shoulder up in a shrug. ] It's not like I'm still interested in her or anything, so. Yeah. Good for you.
[ the fact that yancy is so shocked about this really just drives home how fucking co-dependent the two of them are. raleigh would probably be weirded out by it if it weren't for the fact that he's too busy getting warm fuzzies over yancy not wanting naomi to screw up their brotherly relationship again. ]

[No he's not actually happy. But that doesn't have anything to do with Naomi. He's a fucking wreck and he has panic attacks on a nearly weekly basis, sometimes it's more sometimes it's almost a month between them but Naomi actually distracts him from that. Makes him think about something that isn't wrecking Gipsy or letting Raleigh down and you could probably call that happier than he would be without her.

he's not stupid, so he knows that yancy isn't happy like he used to be. neither of them are or ever will be again. knifehead fucked them up royally and there's no real going back from that. but if yance is happy by certain definitions of happy, raleigh's happy for him. ]
Nope. Not this time. [ he pauses. ] So long as you don't do anything that'll make me walk in on you two.
[ because no he's not letting go of the fact that yancy was thinking about that of all things when they drifted that one time. it was horrifically scarring. ]
[Because they are almost always at Naomi's place instead of the one that Yancy shares with his brother because of that very problem. Yancy didn't want to involve Raleigh in it, and so he didn't and now it's just habit to go there. Habit and it's easier to pretend like he's something resembling normal when he's there.]
