but she'd put that possibility aside, had made the express decision to raise her girl all on her own. and then knifehead happened and she'd mourned the loss of a hero by her three-year-old daughter's bedside, the television airing the news that gipsy danger had been found battered and broken, one pilot bleeding red in the snow, the other buried at the bottom of the sea.
she can't change that raleigh's brother is her daughter's biological father. she doesn't want to change it because that tenuous connection is what brought raleigh to them in the first place. she's accepted how death closed one door and opened another in it's place, fate throwing her someone else, someone she sometimes wonders if she deserves because raleigh is just so good to them, she has to pinch herself sometimes.
